To passersby, the austere Agudah building on South Taylor Road evokes very little. But to the hundreds of Yidden who regularly frequent it, Kollel Torah Life is the center of their inner lives and the fulcrum of their community. The Kollel’s seforim-lined walls reverberate each day with the Kol Hatorah of its twenty full-time Yungerleit and scores of unofficial part-time members – the beloved community bnei aliya who have made the Kollel a home.
And the Torah Life Kollel has, under the leadership and guidance of the Rosh Kollel, R’ Baruch Hirschfeld, extended its reach far beyond its walls, setting a tone of aliya for the entire neighborhood.
